Minister in Ministry of culture and tourism of Republic of North Macedonia

Biography

Sedat Sulejmani was born in Tetovo in 1975. He graduated from Uludağ University in Bursa, Türkiye. He also pursued postgraduate studies at the South East European University (SEEU), Faculty of Social Sciences. Throughout different periods of his career, he achieved success in business and the private sector.

For many years, he has been actively involved in socio-cultural activities, including:

  • Editor of the educational radio program at Radio Kanal B.
  • Founder of the NGO for Culture, Education, and Arts "Kalkan".
  • Folklorist with "Yeni Hayat".
  • Founder and President of the NGO for Culture, Education, and Arts "Prizma".
  • Coordinator of the project "Brotherhood Knows No Borders", implemented in cooperation with the Municipality of Bayrampaşa, Istanbul, Türkiye.
  • Coordinator of the "Handicrafts" project, implemented in cooperation with the Municipality of Konya, Türkiye.
  • Participant in the "International Dialogue" training program in Strasbourg, France.
  • Participant in the "Balkan International Youth Conference" training program.

In 2020, he was appointed Deputy Minister of Culture, a position he held until 2021.

From 2023 to 2024, he served as an Advisor for Professional Administrative Support to the Municipal Inspectorate of the Municipality of Tetovo.

In the current Government, he was reappointed as Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism, serving from 2024 to 2026.

He is fluent in Albanian, Macedonian, and Turkish.
