Besa Oda Murteza serves as the State Secretary at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of North Macedonia.
She was born on 15 December 1980 in Struga. She graduated from the Blaze Koneski Faculty of Philology at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje, where she studied Albanian Language and Literature.
With more than 20 years of professional experience at the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, she has built a career founded on professionalism, responsibility, and dedication to the development of the cultural sector. She has served as Head of the Publishing and Literature Department, as well as Head of the Folklore Division, where she was responsible for the preparation and coordination of annual programmes, the coordination of expert commissions, and the implementation of cultural policies in these fields.
Until recently, she was a member of the Board of Directors of the Albanian Theatre, contributing to the institutional development of this national cultural institution.
Drawing on her extensive experience and thorough understanding of institutional processes, Besa Oda Murteza carries out her responsibilities as State Secretary with a strong commitment to strengthening institutions, advancing cultural policies, and promoting the development of culture and tourism in the Republic of North Macedonia.
