Proofreader's Exam

The taking of the proofreader's exam is conducted in accordance with the Law on the Use of the Macedonian Language, the Rulebook on the Manner of Taking the Exam for Obtaining a Proofreader's License and the Exam Program, and the Rulebook on Amending and Supplementing the Rulebook on the Manner of Taking the Exam for Obtaining a Proofreader's License and the Exam Program, which are available on the website of the Ministry of Culture: www.kultura.gov.mk.

The exam for obtaining a proofreader’s license is held once a month, every month, except in the month of July.

The Application for Taking the Proofreader’s Exam, which is available on the website of the Ministry of Culture (Rulebook on the Application Form for Taking the Exam for Obtaining a Proofreader’s License), must be submitted to the archive (registry office) of the Ministry of Culture on working days, from the 1st to the 10th of each month.

Along with the application, the candidate must submit proof of meeting the exam eligibility requirement according to Article 10, paragraph (2) of the Law on the Use of the Macedonian Language – a diploma of completed four-year higher education in the study programs Macedonian Language or Macedonian Language and Literature, with Macedonian Language as the primary major subject (copy certified by a notary).

The proofreader’s exam is taken before the Commission for Administering the Proofreader’s Exam.
